Max Rovira is a Spanish Catalan painter .
He created all his early work in post-Impressionism style, and while maintaining pictorial rigour, he then explored a palette of an inexhaustible variety of reflections and light and thus changed an attitude towards reality.
His paintings got closer to cubism with a hint of nostalgia and sadness offset by a chromatic scale that gets increasingly brighter. He is self-taught and has a very personal style which is inspired by the statues of Easter Island.
He works at a frantic pace to lay down warm and cold colours, which gives powerful resonance to his paintings. .
Max Rovira is currently influenced by Pop Art, he creates very Flashing colour blends, that give his portraits and life scenes a forceful impact. Everything is structured and is composed as "a painting of freedom".
